1973 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia California car. No Smog ever! ** NOTE ** This auction is for California residents ONLY. It does have a clear title, but I don't have it, I have an "application for duplicate title", which the previous owner has signed and filled out. This form is a replacement for the title when you go to register the car at DMV. Unfortunately, I don't think it transfers to other states. These cars are very fun to drive, and very simple, like the beetle. Runs and drives well, brakes are good, clutch seems a little high to me, all gears shift good. Headlights, brake lights, parking lights, and turn signals all work well. Hazards work as well. Speedo and odometer are working, wipers are disconnected for now, but do work. Clock does not work. Newer Sony flip down detachable face CD player works great. Seats are flawless. Dash does have many mini cracks. Console looks to have been redone in a "reddish velvet". Window handles need replacing, Pas. door is not opening from out side, handle "trigger" is loose, but does open from inside. Both doors lock. Trunk/bonnet locks and opens. Windows are intact with no cracks. Carpet is tired and missing some rear floor pieces. There are some dents on this car that you should be aware of: see pics for details. driver's front fender and Rear by license plate top, and rear pas. side has dents and pieces/chips of paint missing (but touched up with met. green paint) . Paint is metallic green and is ok as a daily driver, but has some paint chips and a large area of the
clear is coming off on driver's side front quarter panel top. The roof of car also has some areas where clear looks to be coming off in the near future.
Some pieces of the chrome moulding on pas. side are missing. Floor boards are solid. there is some rust on the pas. side rocker panel. Original CA blue/yellow plates. Registration expires this month, and remember; no smog, ever. Does have a previous history salvage from 1982. Overall it's a nice Ghia, but could use some work to be perfect. $3200 or best offer 818-272 1112
